Anelegant, Art Deco era, diamond cluster ring, modeled in platinum, with a softly-peaked, elongated, shield-like form. This airy, openwork shieldfeatures five, bezel set diamonds (arranged vertically)that float inside a series of hand-pierced, target-like fields. These five old European cut diamonds are flanked by arrays ofdiamond-set, pennant-shaped seats that come together to createa batwing orspiderweb effect, where they join the negative space around the primary diamonds. Fine, milgrain details finish the edges of those pennant-shaped seats.Open-work channels keepall of the elements of the design crisp and light. The ring's half-round shank is notched the shoulder; it tapers toward the base. This is very low profile— it would make a wonderful, unusual engagement or five-year anniversary ring!
